I employed Petrella Paving to do a major remake on my driveway this past summer. I was experiencing major water seepage into my basement and I consulted my usual contractor about possible solutions.

The house and driveway being quite old— actually a Sears house built in 1924– it appeared that the driveway had sunk and repitched itself towards the house, creating a puddling situation which caused a build up of water pressure, and having no place to go, seeped into the basement.

The contractor recommended Bob as a person. He is very capable and highly recommended to fix the problem.

It was a big job— for me as a homeowner, anyway, and I was totally satisfied with the results. Bob operated in a timely, neat and professional manner, and I have had no problems with water seepage at all since he completed the job.

Petrella Paving constructed a new asphalt driveway for my personal residence. There were numerous holes with grass growing in them in the old driveway.

Initially, Bob Fredericks spent time surveying the pitch of the driveway to determine water flow to prevent water and melting snow and ice from flowing into the garage. His work crew also set stone pavers that had sunken into the old asphalt to bring them back into alignment. They also repaired the concrete apron.

I would not hesitate to recommend Petrella and Bob Fredericks as highly experienced in constructing asphalt driveways and concrete work.

He came in on budget and when I needed extra help because of roots from a tree near the curb, he found the right person who also did an excellent job to take care of both the roots and cutting the curb. We hired Petrella Paving in the beginning of November 2010. The initial contractor we hired continuously delayed the completion of the driveway. The driveway was unusable and hazardous for many months. With the winter fast approaching, we dismissed the original contractor and hired Petrella. The owner Bob said he would have the driveway prepared and usable for our vehicles in one day. The driveway was usable in one day! Bob also explained the existing conditions and how he would rectify them without any additional cost.
